Sol et Gobelet was a French language children’s television show made in Quebec. Its stories revolved around the adventures of clowns Sol (a fictional character written for and performed on stage by Marc Favreau) and Gobelet (played by Luc Durand).
Sol is a clown who handily deconstructs the French language, to the amusement of adults as well as toddlers. Sol mostly appears alone on stage and recites comic monologues dealing with current social and political issues.
